We weren’t sure whether or not to categorize this residence as a Beach House. It is located in beautiful Cannon Beach, Oregon with a perfect view of the beach including Haystack Rock. But this house is so much more than that, in fact this residence is in a category all it’s own. This left us nowhere else to put it except “Other.”
A winner of multiple awards including Custom Green Home of the Year by the NAHB and featured in Time’s Style and Design magazine. This home, designed by Nathan Good, AIA and built by Rich Elstrom Construction, is the epitome of “Green.” From it’s use of wind fallen trees and FSC certified lumber to it’s solar panels and natural lighting of clerestory windows, this house has far too many qualities to list. Please visit all of the links here to see all of the ways that the design team chose to be environmentally responsible.
We weren’t the only Bergerson’s involved in this project. Bergerson Tile and Stone was also chosen to use their knowledge and expertise in the stone and tile work on the “Net Zero” Residence.
